To be eligible for Joint Entrance Exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, candidate must have passed the +2 level of exam from a recognized Board or must hold a 3 year diploma recognized by AICTE. The minimum marks required to be eligible for the test for general candidate in the +2 level is 60% whereas, for candidate belonging to Sc/St category the minimum required marks is 55%.

SC/ST candidates appearing for IIT JEE should have scored at least 55% in aggregate in the qualifying exam, i.e., 12th Std as against 60% for General and OBC candidates.

However, do note that the registration process for the current year was over long back on 10th Dec and the exam is scheduled to be held on 8th April.

You may try your luck in the next year. Meanwhile, go through other umpteen announcements and do apply for the ones which you feel match your aspirations.
