Re: MSc in Biotechnology or MSc in Microbiology? Which field has more job opportunities?
Both are equally good. I will suggest you to go for the one which you like or which interests you.
MSc Biotechnology has really good scope and lots of companies are coming up in this field. So go for it or otherwise Microbiology another great option.... So cut out the one which you dont like. Rea search a bit on what exactly the fields are about and on that basis make a decision Best of luck |

Re: MSc in Biotechnology or MSc in Microbiology? Which field has more job opportunities?
In my view u should go for microbiology as it has a great future aspect. Small system technology is in a full swing and u ll have a great future ahead of you. But the most important thing is the institution u ll join. That decision is more vital.
all the best... |

Re: MSc in Biotechnology or MSc in Microbiology? Which field has more job opportunities?
Hello sir!
Its not a bad one to struggle between choosing Bio-technology and Micro-biology that too in M.sc. Both are look alike but they differ in what we learn and specialise. They have bright future across the abroad over India. In my opinion its better if you are intrested in chemistry then look after for Msc Biotechnology or else just go with MSc microbiology and its somehow easy to learn than Biotechnology. Both those Biotecnology and Microbiology holds best job oppurtunities but I suggest you MSc in Microbiology has edge over Biotechnology. So look after it. All the best! |

Re: MSc in Biotechnology or MSc in Microbiology? Which field has more job opportunities?
Both are having lots of research opportunities. Now almost all the science colleges offer these programs especially looking at the vast potential and scope of opportunities. Biochemists are being hired in hospitals, pharma firms, research laboratories and then you can always go in for research institutes and academic institutions too. Microbiologists also have same career opportunities. So you can choose anyone between the two

Re: MSc in Biotechnology or MSc in Microbiology? Which field has more job opportunities?
HI!
Both biotechnology & microbiology offers bright career prospects with handsome pay package & lucrative perks. You can choose either of the two depending up on your interest & your potential to excel in a particular field. Careers in biotechnology: The biotechnology professionals can get good jobs in the pharmaceutical companies, agricultural, chemical and allied industries. They can get the employment in the areas of production, planning and management of bioprocessing industries. The biotechnologists have a great scope in the research laboratories. The biotechnologists in India get employed in various government-based and private universities and research institutes as research scientists or assistants. |

Re: MSc in Biotechnology or MSc in Microbiology? Which field has more job opportunities?
dear friend,
Both have equal weightage, it is depend upon your own interest. But as per my knowledge if you take micro biology then you will give better job opportunity in foreign rather than India, because research field is better in foreign universities like Oxford,Cambridge, University of Manchester etc. & for taking admission in foreign universities you have to qualify in GRE test. & if you want to stay in India then Bio-technology will be better for you. choice is yours . good luck. |

Re: MSc in Biotechnology or MSc in Microbiology? Which field has more job opportunities?
dear friend,
i thnk biotechnology is the best than microbiology because if you study in biotechnology then you get chance to research on it and also get better jobs but in microbiology you will get less space for job. good luck |
