No other book is as best as NCERT for preparation of class 10 maths.

However,if still you are not satisfied then opt for R.S.Agarwal for maths.

hey vidushi you seems to be really confused and worried about books,
as i have gone through your phase too would like to guide you if you like my advice first give priority to your NCRT book definitely coz its generally said ke cbse examinors first take NCERT in preparing question papers but its not the only book that they consider even its true you should go for lakhmir singh manjit singh book for maths and if you want further reference book raise ur query here .

generally the text books by cbse ncert are the best for board exams.....and is well understood by everyone ...as it has a very simple format and language.......some of the reference books have different method which might confuse the student .......so it will be better if you go by the books of ncert....as recommended by all your school teachers

generally the method given in a reference books are lengthy and are bit tricky and so takes more time to understand.....the ncert books re the best for the board preparation.....
but if you have completed your text book more than three time then probably you can go for reference books to get more practice ...........

treat NCERT book as a bible and other reference books like r s agarwall, r d sharma, m l khanna should be used only for reference and competitive exams' purpose....also, get 5-6 years question papers of board exams and practice with question bank.

THE 10th maths paper comes from the NCERT textbook only... the other books like R.D.SHARMA are just for your practice... to just improve your command on the topic..... that's it... so just focus on NCERT textbook but if u can then practice some questions from other books like R.D.SHARMA.

Going for NCERT is a good option but doing more never brings harm to you insead of being depressed cooly go for Ncret first and then if you have time go for other books
Instead of books my advice is to stress upon concepts

Hi friend..
The NCERT books are the best books for the board maths examination...
Do practice and do well in your exam..Do ask your teacher to what book you have to refer if he/she says to practice from other books...If you have more time to practice then you can also refer R.S.Agarwal.....
GOOD LUCK...

though ncert is the best book but due to limited number of questions and tricky language,it may be a bit confusing.so, i recommend r.d. sharma/r.l. arora to u.however, u need not study them in much depth.only solved problems may be practised but u should strictly follow ncert...
