Hello friend,
For CBI, you will have to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam, conducted by the Staff Selection Commission every year. The educational qualification required for the exam is graduate in any discipline. So, since you are a graduate, you can take the test provided you are within the standard age limit. The minimum eligible age, for the exam is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC. The application form is published in all the leading newspapers along with the "Employement News". For further information, refer to the official website of staff selection commission |

Re: Is it necessary to pass any UPSC exam to join CBI exam?
you can join CBI in two ways ..
1.UPSC CSE-- crack it get IPS rank and then you can get posting in CBI. 2.SSC-- Conducted every year , recruitments for CBI are also made through SSC. officers for CBI are selected from police service as well you can clear state service join state police cadre and then if lucky you can get deputation in CBI. These are the only way to become officer in CBI. |
