Dear aspirant,

-Yes you are eligible for UGC NET exam as you are post graduate.

-The basic qualification for UGC NET is post graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.

-You have to pass an objective type paper to get yourself NET qualified.

-NET qualified are considered for the post of lecturership in UGC recognised universities.

-NET score will also help you in studying further in you field .

-You will be preferred over non NET qualified for job.

BEST OF LUCK....

Surely my friend you can apply for the National Eligibility Test. The main criteria of the NET exam is post graduation degree. Since MBA is also considered as post graduation degree, you will face no problem in applying for the exam. But you must also meet the percentage criteria.

National Eligibility Test is a biannual exam. It means that University Grants Commission conducts this exam two times a year. First time in June and second time in December. You will have to wait till next year to apply for the exam since the admission period for NET December 2012 has ended.

This gives you plenty of time to prepare for the exam. It won't be easy to pass NET exam therefore you must prepare for it. Please check the criteria for the exam below and see whether you are eligible or not.

Eligibility

1. Candidate should be Indian national.

Educational Criteria

1. Post graduation degree holders may apply for the exam.

2. Your degree should be from a UGC recognized university.

3. Minimum of 55 percent marks in post graduation.

4. For SC/ST, requirement is 50 percent marks.

5. Final year students may also apply.

6. You can only choose subject related to your post graduation degree.

Age Limit

The age limit for JRF is:

1. General - 28 years

2. OBC - 31 years

3. SC/ST - 33 years

There is no age limit for lecturer.
