total no. of seats in IIm s ?? what percentile a general cast student should score in order to get a call from IIM??

Every year it admits around 250 students selected for a single IIM. so the total no of seat in all IIM will be 250*6 that is equal to 1500 seats.

To score 99.5 percentile in DI/DS one had to score around 22.
To score 97 percentile in DI/DS one had to score around 17.25.
To score 99.5 percentile in Quant. one had to score around 25.5
To score 97 percentile in Quant. one had to score around 16
To score 99.5 percentile in verbal one had to score around 35
To score 97 percentile in verbal one had to score around 32
To score 99.5 percentile in total one had to score around 69
To score 97 percentile in total one had to score around 56.7

Hi,
On an average, There are 100 seats in each IIMS with some more and some less. The cutoff score differ with each IIMs. IIMA sets the cutoff of near to 98.89 in all the three sections to give a call. other IIMs are close to this score with some 0.45 difference. This score, I am talking about, is for General category. Do check the CATIIM website for no of seats and other details.

and for general category students. percentile required isabove 90 only.

Totally 2000 or 2200 seats avaliable in all IIMs.

And approximatly 75% seats avaliable for general caste.

For general category total no of seats in IIMs are 900 seats of total 1200 seats for which rest are reserved.

To get a call from IIM a percentile score near 99 is required. Its tough but not impossible. So best of Luck

there is about 900 seats are for general category students in iim.
and the percentile required for iim. through cat is above 95%.

Dear friend

The total no. of seats in IIMs is around 2000. A student will get a call or not from an IIM doen't depend on the total percentile only but depends on the percentile in individual subjects and in some case score in 10th 12th and graduation as well.
As per reservation for OBC students you might get a call from an IIM even at 92 percentile but that will not lead you to a good IIM. If you are thinking about IIM Ahmedabad, Banglore, Kolkata, Lucknow any one of these four then for OBC category 97 percentile would at least be required. You will get a call from at least 2 of them. If your academics is above 80% then you can get all four calls. Rest depends on your performance in GD, PI.

4:for IIM Calcutta(IIMC)you should have around 98.96 percentile overall

5:for IIM Indore(IIMI)you should have around 98 percentile overall

6:for IIM Shilong(IIMS) you should have minimum 80% marks in graduation as well as 85 percentile overall

There are around 1000 seats in all IIM's for general category students.

Most of the IIM's have cutoff of around 99.6 percentile except IIM Khozikode which had a cutoff of 75 percentile

ya you have good chance if you score very good in CAT.
but don't hope for IIM-A and IIM-B as per recent criteria but IIM-C will give you a call if you score more than 98%.and other IIMs also consider you if you score very good.

There is no such criteria to get admission in IIMs but it is expected percentile by which you can get admission in IIMs:-

To score 99.8 percentile in DI/DS one had to score around 22.
