Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi has just been established in the recent year and has commenced its classes since July, this year. IIM, Kolkata has been designated as the Mentor Institute of IIM, Ranchi and therefore will provide the syllabus as well as several other important notices to this elite Institute. IIM, Kolkata has also provided for assistance in the teaching staff as and when required. IIM, Ranchi has been established with enhancing the level of management education in the region of Bihar and Jharkhand.

Infrastructure and Campus:

The Institute features an overwhelmingly designed campus that is located in an urban area of the city. The Institute also has audio-video methods of teaching along with introducing new types of multimedia methods. It also has a audio-video conferencing system of teaching.

Courses Offered:
The Institute in the first year of academics is offering only one course namely Post Graduate degree in the Business Administration otherwise termed as Management. It offers a total of 70 seats in the first year, but has announced to offer more number of programs as well as enhance the number of seats in each category.

Admission Procedure:

The Institute undertakes admission through Common Admission Test (CAT). The candidates that have secured the minimum cut-off percentile in the exam are called for a round of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Placement:

Since the Institute has been in the first year of its existence, there are no records of placement, but the Institute is gearing up to provide a high end placement to the candidates and be at a standard that all the other IIM’s are known for. The Institute has already began to start collaborating with major companies for recruitment.
