I passed my 10th class in 2016. I took BIPC and qualified 11th class in 2017. But due to some reasons I left the BIPC and continued into PCM and qualified 12th class of PCM in 2019. So my respective 11th and 12th classes was 2017 to 2019. I got IIT in 2019 in first attempt at Jammu. Due to long distance I dropped and took long term again for JEE (2019 to 2020). But unfortunately due to COVID effect I was unable to write and not attempted the exam in 2020 JEE. Now I am helpless and seeing for the next 3rd attempt. With all my above details do I am eligible for 3rd attempt of JEE Main and advanced 2021? And I heard that ''Getting admissions into NIT's after two attempts is not possible but only IIIT's are possible'' is it correct? And JEE Advanced was only 2 times, now I am not eligible for JEE Advanced exam, but I heard that there will be a talk in conducting JEE Advanced 3 times from 2021. My kind request that I may get correct answers to all my above mentioned doubts, and I am a ST category.

Having completed your Class 12th in 2019, you are not eligible for any upcoming JEE Advanced as per the current norms which states that a candidate can appear in JEE Advanced two times at maximum and that too in the year in which he/she completed his/her Class 12th and the year following it which was 2019 and 2020 in your case.

But, you still apply for JEE Main 2021 as one is allowed to appear in the same examination six times ( as JEE Main is held twice every year now) but within 2 years of completion of Class 12th.

Also, you can still get into NITs on the basis of JEE Main 2021 ranks.
