Yes you can do M.B.B.S after B.D.S you can. But it is a wastage of time and money. you have to again start with 12th class.
Some college offering this course are:-
-A.I.I.M.S
-J.I.P.M.E.R
-M.G.I.M.S
-MANIPAL UNIVERSITY
-S.R.M UNIVERSITY
-B.H.U
-A.M.U

I my opinion you should try for other things like M.D.S, I.A.S.

yes u can, um also doing mbbs after my bds,i joined bds at 2005, and joined mbbs this yr after qualifying wbjee 2011, i think it is d best one of the best option at present situation.after mbbs if u can do ms ent ,thn u will really boss in h&N region.
even if u think u wnt do any further study, thn it is also gud option with mbbs degree ,u wil a job anyhow anywhr, plus u can run ur dental clinic wht is much more returning thn normal practice
if want to come back again in dentistry ,u can do mds in os
u can even run ur own clinic during mbbs study.
doing mbbs after bds is the most flexible option in thefield of health care in india u can jump in any field any tym,wht normal bds mds or normal mbbs wont b able to do,
well it is true u will hv to spend fw more tym ,(5-6)
but probably 2012 is the last option after tht there will b cet ,according to cet rule hardly any one will get chance to do mbbs after bds,
but wht i kno there are 17-19 persn hv got this mbbs ,bds degree and they are very well established thn normal mbbs md or bds mds,

I come across repeated question by some one asking "Is it possible to do MBBS after BDS? Duration of the course?"

Instead of answering the question, please do not rotate the people. Either answer directly or get away and close your net once for all.

now i am joining bds course but i want to do mbbs so can i do mbbs after completing bds course.

As per the study courses all basic medical subjects are same for MBBS and BDS course and both these degrees are in allopathy system of medicine, only some clinical subjects are different, BDS study more on dental subjects and its related surgery and to become Dentist Doctor, After BDS no need to study MBBS to practise, as general medicine and general Surgery subjects clinically taught in BDS Course. Therefore BDS graduate is specialised in dental -Oral suergery and dieases.There is not necessary to study MBBS after BDS. But for MBBS grauate 2-3 years of BDS study is required to become Dentist.

While it is possible there is no point of doing so. It will be huge waste of money and time and therefore if you have completed BDS then pursue the career as dentist instead of doing MBBS.

If you now pursue for the MBBS then what will happen of your BDS degree? You certainly can not practice as both, dentist and general physician. Therefore it is better to stick with one degree.

Now if you decides to do the MBBS course then the procedure will remain the same as last time around. You will appear for the medical entrance exam, this time for MBBS and not BDS.

After clearing the medical entrance exam called UG NEET you can take admission in the medical college. But please remember that the duration of course will be well over 5 and half year.

Having completed BDS will not make the duration of MBBS shorter for you. Apart from that do not think that having BDS degree will give you any advantage when pursuing the MBBS course.

The bottom line is that you should forget about MBBS and if interested in further studies then go for the MDS course. But if you still want to do MBBS then appear for the UG NEET entrance exam for which criteria is mentioned below.


NEET Eligibility

1. Candidate should have passed 12th standard.

2. Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in 12th.

3. At least 50 percent marks in 12th.

4. The minimum age limit is 17 years for the exam.

5. The age limit for All India quota is 25 years.

6. There is 5 years relaxation for the SC/ST.

7. There is no upper age limit for state quota seats.

You can definately do MBBS after BDS.

But i would suggest you to go for post graduation insted of doing graduation again by changing stream.

Hi .,I completed my BDS in 2010.... After tht one yr I worked...but then I got married an cud not work continuosly.... I even tried for my pg through exams but din click...its been five yes since I finished.... Now I feel to do MBBS so tht at least I cud get govt job... Is it possible to study MBBS if we wish....
