Is it possible to join Indian Air Force as a pilot after engineering?
sir/madam i am doing my engineering.i need to join air force as a pilot. is it possible?please suggest me some ways.

HELLO,
You get in indian air force,eligibility is *Graduation(B.E.) from affiliated institute or university. min. 60%(aggregate)in graduation. or you can enter as a engineer. -for flying branch- ~CDS(combined defence services) exam,NCC special entry & SSC (short service commission) (only for 14 yr) *age limit-19-23yrs. for more information you can visit-www.carrierairforce.nic |

Hello friend,
Yes it is possible and you can apply for Air force after engineering.You can write CDS exam after the completion of your B.E and you need to have studied maths and physics in your plus 2.The minimum criteria is that you need to have pass certificate for at least 12 standard.You are eligible and so prepare well.You can make it through and its good that you want to serve our country and become a productive citizen. sir/madam i am pursing my 4th b-tech belongs to "INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY",but i had only 55%.am i eligible to become a lady pilot.please

if you really want to join airforce as a pilot than you can go for:
Air Force Academy combined defence srvice examination (CDSE) Age Limit :- 19 to 23 years Educational Qualifications :- B Sc (Physics and/ or Mathematics) or B E. (You should be a B Sc (Maths) or B Sc (Physics)). Entrance :- Through a written examination conducted by UPSC followed by a Services Selection Board interview for those who pass the written examination. Advertisement itinerary :- In the month of April/ November by UPSC. The format of application will be available in the Employment News. Successful candidates join the Air Force Academy directly for Pilot Training. |

Minimum Educational Qualification for IAF Pilots:
BSc {Physics/Maths) 3 years or BE 4 years or BSc (General) 3 years with Physics and Maths. The candidate should not have failed INS-B/PAB Test earlier. Should not have been suspended in Flying Training earlier. So yes you can apply for IAF Pilots.. Details Regarding Selection Procedure Interivews Test/ Personality Test All candidates will be required to appear for Pilot Aptitude Battery Test, except those already qualified previously. All PAB Test qualified candidates will then be required to appear for rest of the Air Force Selection Board tests comprising of officers Intelligence Test/Psychological/Group Tests and Interview. The total selection period is approx 5 or 6 days. Candidates finally recommended by the Selection Board will be routed to Medical Examination which may take another 6 or 7 days. Duration of training is 72 weeks at Air Force Academy. Age limit for IAF Pilots : 19 to 23 years on the 1st of the month of commencement of the course. |

Yes,
You can apply for pilot after engineering You should secure at least 60% aggreagate in engineering there ia also age limit for this that is 19 -24 yrs |

you can join Indian Air force as an pilot FROM technical trade. 1)Age limit for IAF Pilots : 19 to 23 years on the 1st of the month of commencement of the course. yes it is possible to join as pilot after engineering. after engineering you may join in flying Branch of Air force. but without experience you can not work as pilot. to become pilot you have to take training from a pilot training institution. for pilot the educational qualification required graduation or graduation in engineering.
here is the all details about different post in flying branch of Indian Air force- Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE) Educational Qualifications 1.Graduate ( Three Year Course ) in any discipline from a recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) / BE / B Tech( Four Year Course) . 2. Final Year students can also apply, provided they do not have any backlog. 3. No Percentage Bar for CDSE entry. National Cadet Corps Special Entry ( Through CO NCC Unit / DG NCC )- Educational Qualifications 1. Graduate ( Three Year Course ) in any discipline from a recognised university who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech( Four Year Course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. 2. Final Year students can also apply, provided they do not have any backlog and min 60 % aggregate marks in the previous year/ semester. 3. NCC Air Wing Senior Division 'C' certificate. Flying (Pilot) Short Service Commission (For Men & women)- Educational Qualifications 1.Graduate ( Three Year Course ) in any discipline from a recognised university who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech( Four Year Course) from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. 2. Yes, you can join Indian Air Force as a pilot after passing Engineering.But you should not have any backlogs.You should have a good physical and mental health.Your height should be 162.5 cms and your weight should be proportional to your height and your leg length should be between 99 to 120 cms.

You want to become a fighter pilot in future then you have to appear in CDS exam.. Through CDS exam you can join in flying branch of air force.. Eligibility for CDS exam:- For flying branch:- 1.Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade, with maths and physics in 12th... 2.No percentage of aggregate bar.. 3.Age should be in between 19-23 years. 4.candidate must be physically fit. 5.Candidate should be a citizen of India. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill. So, go for it.. All the best... |
