Is it possible to write Civil Service exams after Polytechnic Diploma?
Candidates who have successfully passed Polytechnic Diploma courses from a UGC recognized college are eligible to write Civil Service exams or not? My Diploma was also of 3 years like any other Graduate courses.

Re: Is it possible to write Civil Service exams after Polytechnic Diploma?
Although diploma is 3 year course it is not equivalent to graduation.
The minimum eligibility to appear in Civil Service examination is that candidate must have passed graduation from a recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years. There is relaxation in age limit for the reserved category. So, you will have to pursue graduation from a recognised university to become eligible to appear in the examination. Civil Service examination is conducted in three stages. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Re: Is it possible to write Civil Service exams after Polytechnic Diploma?
The first thing I would like to let you know is that the minimum education required for appearing in the Civil Services examination is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
As far as you are concerned about your eligibility for appearing in Civil Services examination on the basis of Polytechnic Diploma course then I would like to let you know that on the basis of Polytechnic Diploma course you are not eligible for appearing in the Civil Services examination as far as the educational requirement for the same examination is concerned as Polytechnic diploma course is not equivalent to any graduation degree course. For detailed information regarding the Civil Services examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in. |
