VAO stands for Village Administrative Officers which is conducted by TNPSC.

If you have 12th standard OR graduation degree then you are applicable for VAO exam but you age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide as per govt rule But you must know the Tamil language.

TNPSC VAO Exam Details:-

## VAO stands for Village Administrative Officers. To recruit these officers an examination is conducted by the TNPSC whenever there is a vacancy for this post. The notifications for this post is released in two parts:- one for the SC/ST candidates and the second one for the rest of the categories.

## Out of the total seats vacant 30% of the seats are kept vacant for the women, 5% for the ex-servicemen and 3% for the physically handicapped candidates. On not getting the number of women required to fill up all the reserved seats, same number of men is chosen to fill up the rest of the vacant seats.

## The minimum qualification required for this post is a secondary school leaving certificate. In other words you need to be a 10th pass out to sit for this exam. Even if you have higher qualifications it will be considered only when you have this certificate to show.

## Your age should not be less than 21 years when applying for this exam. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 30 years. There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. It is 40 years for them.

## On getting selected you will be posted in the villages of Tamilnadu therefore it is very important for you to know the Tamil language properly to avoid communication problem.

## If you do not know Tamil then also you can give this exam. But on getting selected within two years from the date of selection you need to sit for Tamil language exam which is also conducted by TNPSC and pass in it.

## Selectors expects that only physically fit candidates will sit for this exam. Therefore to prove your medical fitness you need to produce before them medical certificates during exam time.

## The selection procedure is vastly dependant on the written exam. Other factors which are also taken into consideration are the district chosen by you and the number of reservations of the district in question.

## Questions for the exam will be of S.S.L.C. standard and within a time span of three hours you have to answer two hundred questions. There will be two sections to finish. The first paper is bilingual while the second paper is optional.

## Notifications for this year's exam was published in the month of June. So if you have already applied for it then the exam is due in September. By November the result will come out and the interview session is expected to start by December.
