I am 18-year-old l am passed class 12 with commerce stream in 79 percentage l wanted to work in Indian army now. Can you please let me know the procedure which I need to follow to apply in the next year 2018? Awaiting for the response soon. Thanks!

Commerce stream candidates are eligible to join Indian Army through National Defence Academy entrance exams.

The eligibility criteria for NDA exam:

1. For Army, all streams candidates of 10+2 are eligible. But you have to clear mathematics paper.

2. The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. At age of 18 years, you can apply for exam.

3. You must be unmarried male.

You can apply for exam at http://www.upsconline.nic.in when notification for the exam is released.

Procedure to apply for Indian Army in 2018:

1. Visit the official website of UPSC when notification for NDA exam is released and then fill up application form, upload photograph and signature and pay required fees to complete your application.

2. The notification for NDA I will come on 10th January, 2018.

You can apply at www.upsconline.nic.in.

To join in Indian Army in 2018, you have to appear in NDA 2018 examination which is conducted by UPSC. You should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a Government recognised board. You should be within the age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years, should be an unmarried male candidate and should be physically as well as mentally healthy to be eligible to apply for NDA 2018 examination for joining in Indian Army.

Being a 18 year old and having done your Class 12th with Commerce stream with 79% marks you are eligible for join Indian Army as commissioned officer, soldier clerk and tradesmen too.

Further to become commissioned officer in Indian Army one has to qualify NDA entrance examination held by UPSC twice every year. Also for appearing in the same examination you need to be unmarried male Indian candidate with your age lying within 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

Where as for becoming soldier clerk or tradesmen you need to qualify their respective recruitment rally followed by Common Entrance Examination. Also for appearing in these examinations you need to be an unmarried Indian male candidate with your age lying within 17 years to 23.5 years.
