I am a state government employee and serving for 1 year. I want to apply for IBPS i.e., banking sector jobs. But what is the procedure to take NOC from my department? Whether I have to take it before applying or I have to take it before appearing in interview? Or, can I apply for IBPS directly without any NOC?

You can apply for the examination without having NOC.

Only after clearing all the stages of examination and before the final selection you will need to have NOC from the department.
