Re: Procedure to become IAS officer after BCA?
The procedure of becoming IAS officer remains the same regardless the degree of the candidate. You will have to apply for the Civil Service Examination for Indian Administrative Service.
The exam is conducted in two phase. First one is preliminary exam which is nothing more than a qualifying examination to appear for mains. Second stage is main exam which is also conducted in the same year. To be eligible for Indian Administrative Service, each candidate should meet the following criteria. Eligibility 1. You should be citizen of India. 2. Bachelor degree in any stream. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. The age limit is 21 to 30 years. 5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation. Exam Pattern 1) Preliminary Exam (2 papers) > General studies > Optional Subject 2) Main Exam (9 papers) > Indian Language > English > Essay > General Studies I > General Studies II > Optional Subject I > Optional Subject I > Optional Subject II > Optional Subject II 3) Interview |
