you need to sit for a Civil Services Exam and need to clear the prelims(CSAT), mains and interviews.
In prelims you need to answer general reasoning, aptitude questions.
In mains you need to answer 2 subjects ,essays.
Last round will be the interview round after which merit list will be published and you will be called for training.

You can apply for IAS in your final year or 3rd year of B.C.A.

then take a look at the following things.

1. Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years....the age is calculated on the basis of 1st of August of the year applying for it.
[33 years for Sc/ST]

2. Should be a citizen of India.

Other things that you should keep in mind:

You should have good knowledge in current affairs and social issues.
[Because you need to have very strong in that]

The procedure of becoming IAS officer remains the same regardless the degree of the candidate. You will have to apply for the Civil Service Examination for Indian Administrative Service.

The exam is conducted in two phase. First one is preliminary exam which is nothing more than a qualifying examination to appear for mains. Second stage is main exam which is also conducted in the same year.

To be eligible for Indian Administrative Service, each candidate should meet the following criteria.

Eligibility

1. You should be citizen of India.

2. Bachelor degree in any stream.

3. There is no percentage criteria.

4. The age limit is 21 to 30 years.

5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

6. SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation.

Exam Pattern

1) Preliminary Exam (2 papers)

> General studies

> Optional Subject

2) Main Exam (9 papers)

> Indian Language

> English

> Essay

> General Studies I

> General Studies II

> Optional Subject I

> Optional Subject I

> Optional Subject II

> Optional Subject II

3) Interview
