Procedure to become an OS for a Cadet with 19 months of sea service?
Dear Sir, I am a Deck Cadet and I have completed 19 months of sea service. Now I am unable to appear in 2nd MATE exam because of financxial problem and I don't have any support. Now I want to sail as OS. Please tell me what is the procedure to change from Cadet to OS?

You need to complete your deck cadet training( 18 months training), you should give your exams and get your second mate C.O.C.
Without this ,you can not be a part of ocean bridge watch/supervise duties.So,you need to mange to clear the exam |
