i am a bsc-it graduate
and wanted to know about ips exams procedure ,due dates & exam fees

You have to apply for Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) which is nothing but UPSC exam.

Based on the overall ranking and your choice of cadre, you will be provided IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IAS or IPS. The higher your rank, the choice is with you.

Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) through a single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp available in post office.

IPS examination fees you need to paste a CRF stamop of rs 100/- from any head post offices.

No seperate examination for IPs is there ,you have to appear for UPSC civil service examination.

Hi,

For IPS you need to apply for the Civil Servises exam. The notification for the exam will come in the month of february in the employment newspaper.
The form will be available at the cost of Rs. 25 and you need to affix a CRF stamp on it of Rs 100.
You can get the detailed information about this exam on the website upsc.gov.in. check it during february.
The exam is divided into two exams. Prelims will be conducted in the month of May and it will consist GK and Aptitude only. In Mains you need to choose subjects and it will be purely written essays and debates.

you did not mentioned your details i hope you completed 12th

now for writing civils and becoming ips

you have to first complete your degree in any branch from an indian university

then wait for the civils notification in the month of november

and you have to apply for it and then follow all the three stages and you can get into your desired services

If you will apply offline then you have to pay 20 rs for application fee + 100 rs for CRF stamp.If you will apply online then You have to pay only 50 rs.The sale of application form starts from 19/03/2011.For more info log in to www.upsc.gov.in

If u want to become IPS then u have to clear UPSC exam . Forms for this are available currently and last to send form is first week of February. Exam will be conducted in May around 15th.Fee is very nominal.

Yes, you can appear for this exam.
However, you have to provide the proof of passing the qualifying exam along with application form for the main exam.

when UPSC published the advertisement in Employment news you fill application form with application fee Rs 70/- in the form of IPO (Indian Postal order).

To know more about the exam, visit the official website of UPSC. Otherwise, start reading employment dailies, which may contain the notification of the exam. The dates of the test are not yet published. You can apply for the test through online or offline modes. If you are choosing the online modes, forms will be issued only in GPO’s within India.

Hello,
IPS exam are conducted by UPSC every year as civil services exams.
For applying for IPS exam, you should have Graduation degree from a recognized university and age limit is 21 to 30 years for General category.
Age relaxation as per government rules.


Fee details for IPS: If you are applying online ,you are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs 50/- (Rs fifty) only either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card
If you are applying off-line (through common application form), you are required to pay a fee of Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred) only through central recruitment fee stamp only

Female/SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of fee (OBC candidates are required to pay full fees)

Address and last date for receipt of applications:
Online: The online applications can be filled up to 21st March, 2011 till 11.59 p.m. after which the link will be disabled.
You are strongly advised to apply online well in time without waiting for last date for submission of online application.

Off-line: All off-line applications must reach the controller of examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahajahan road, New Delhi-110069 either by hand or by post/speed post or by courier on or before the 21st March, 2011
However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities specified in the notice the last date for receipt of applications by post/speed post only (not by hand or by courier) is 28th March, 2011.

•Apply offline by purchasing the application form from designated post offices throughout the country.

You have to appear in the UPSC's CSE examination. Civil service Examination.This examination is held in the following three stages:-

Preliminary.
Mains,
Interview.

On the basis of your performance you will get the dedicated posts.The Basic eligibility criteria for this exam is to have a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university.
