Yes, proper eyesight is required for admission in Marine Engineering and eyesight will be checked before admission.

Eye sight requirements are,

1. Required unaided vision of 6/12 in each eye.
2. Must not have colour, night blindness.

Applicant should be physically fit enough and capable of seafaring (regular traveling by sea) role.
