Basics of micro processors and micro controllers
Linear control system
Digital system
Communication system
The following are the good books for this exam:
Automatic control systems by B.CKuro
Principles of communication systems by H Taub & D.schilling
EDC by Jlal Kishor
EM waves and transmission lines by Mathew N.O Sadiku

You will get the post of AE or JE based on your degree or diploma respectively in Civil,Mechanical,Electrical and Electronics engineering.Exam will be conducted by State PSC. There are other posts available for Science graduates,Accountants,clerks etc.
