Want to join Police Services in Uttarakhand as Inspector/SI. Please, give me the guidelines for education, age, and all criteria. Note that I'm and Ex-Army personnel.

Uttarakhand government conducts entrance exam for getting SI (Sub Inspector) post.

The eligibility requirements are as follows:

- The educational qualification required is 10th or 12th class education in any stream from any recognised board.
- The candidate should be citizen of India.
- The minimum age required is 18 years. The maximum age limit is 28 years. There is age relaxation for reserved candidates based on the government rules.
- Based on the government rules, the upper age limit for ex servicemen will be 10 years i.e., 38 years.

Criteria for Sub-Inspector/Inspector :

- One must have completed graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

- One must have completed 21 years in age but not more than 25 for an unreserved communities. However, there is relaxation in age of 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST communities and 8 years for ex-serviceman.

- One must be greater than or equal to 170cm in height with 85 cm chest expansion and have a perfect vision 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other without spectacles and free from colourblindness.

- There will be a physical efficiency test followed by written examination and personality test.

Eligibility criteria for Uttarakhand Police SI post are:-

Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from any recognized university.
Candidate's minimum age must be 21 years. There are age relaxation which is provided to the reserved category and there are 10 years age relaxation for Ex-Serviveman.

Physical Standards are:-

Height:-

For General/OBC -
Male - 167.7 cm
Female - 152 cm
Hilly area candidates
Male - 162.6 cm
Female - 147 cm

For SC/ST -
Male - 160 cm
Female - 147 cm

Chest (Only for Male Candidate):-

General/OBC candidates -
Un-expanded - 78.8 cm
Minimum 5 cm expansion

SC/ST and Hilly Areas candidates -
Un-expanded - 76.5 cm
Minimum 5 cm expansion

Weight (only for female candidates):-
45 kg minimum

Eligibility criteria for SI post in Uttarakhand Police are:-

Candidate must have bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Educational qualification is Intermediate(12th Std.) for Ex-serviceman candidates of army.

Candidate must have completed 21 years at the time of filling application form. Maximum age limit is 28 years.

Age Relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines is 03 years for OBC candidates and 05 Years for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen.

Physical Standards are:-

Height for male candidates:-
General and OBC - 167.70 cm
SC/ST category - 160 cm
Candidates of Mountain area - 162.60 cm

Height for female candidates:-
General and OBC - 152 cm
SC/ST and Candidates of Mountain area - 147 cm

Physical Weight:-
Minimum 45 kg only for Female candidates

Chest only for Male candidate:-
General and OBC - 78.8 cm without expansion and 83.8 cm with expansion

SC/ST and candidates of Mountain area - 76.5 cm without expansion and 81.5 cm with expansion

Application Fee:- Rs. 25/- for SC/ST and Rs. 100/- for others.

Eligibility criteria for an Ex-Servicemen in Uttarakhand Police are as follows:-

Age should be- 18 years to 28 years.
For Ex-Servicemen there is 10 years of age relaxation.

Educational requirements-
Candidates should have passed 12th or graduation or any equivalent degree from a recognized university.

Physical requirements-
Males- height should be 167.5 cm
Chest should be 81- 86 cm

Females- height should be 152.4 cm
