Candidate who fulfills the following eligibility criteria may pursue Marine Engineering:

• Must have passed Higher Secondary examination from a recognized board.

• Must have studied the following subjects in the higher secondary level:

Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics
English

• Must have score a minimum of 60% in aggregate in the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

• Must not be over 28 years of age.

Candidates who have completed Diploma program with a minimum of 50% marks in the final year examination in any of the following disciplines are also considered eligible to pursue Marine Engineering Course:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Marine Engineering
• Naval Architecture
• Electrical Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Various entrance exams are conducted for marine engineering.

Infact from the year 2012, AIEEE and IIT JEE are replaced by an all India common engineering test called ISEET.

Eligibility criteria for marine engineering -

Educational Qualification -

10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Candidate should have 40% minimum in ISEET exam.

Marital Status -

Candidate ( Male / female ) should be unmarried.

Physical Fitness -

Candidate’s eyesight must be 6/6

There should be no colour blindness or night blindness.
