I am in 7th sem computer enng(gujarat university)
i started planning for cat about year ago
my question:
Which field should i go for ?
Should i go for a job or mba first?

Dear friend,

There are two options if you really want to go for MBA,
1. You can either take up full time MBA, or
2. You can also go for a job and a part time or executive MBA.

I would suggest you to go for an executive MBA. Then you will not have to wait for two more years to get a job.

it is better to MBA than job since you can develop your career with such knowledge.........

At first, ask yourself by going in which way you will feel better!

If you want to start your career with your subject based knowledge then obviously opt for higher studies. That will enhance your future job opportunities.

And another point is that, if you are involved with a job now, then will you be able to study further.
Finding these answers will help you to choose what way to go..

I think for now, going for an MBA will do better for you. Jobs will come along same way..

as u are in 7th semester u should look 4 a good job first.

if u get job a in reputed company than u go for it.

after working for 2 to 3 year u can do MBA for higher studies. in the mean time of doing job u will get time to prepare for the entrance exams of MBA.

if u are not getting a job and ur preparations are up to the mark than go for MBA.

i would suggest to go for job if you may get any related to your field
because relevant experience is much valuable than any other degree you have..........

This is a common question and very confusing to answer. But its not that tough to decide on this

Engineering and MBA are 2 different fields and so its totally your decision if you want to leave engineering and wanna take up MBA. So there point here is that do you have any interest left in engineering after your 4 years of engg studies?

Ask this question to yourself. I am sure you will come up with an answer. If you feel that no you dont like it and you want to do something else then surely go for MBA

Otherwise if you love engg then instead chose MTech instead of MBA.

So think hard on it. But easy was can be take up a job and do it for 2 years. After 2 years of job experience give CAT entrance exam and since experieced job persons are preferred so you may stand a chance

That a ques that is a cumbersome for many student when it comes to decision of weather to go for Job or MBA.
These days many people go for jobs and companies themselves provide MBA training to their employees.
But if you want to make a career wit MBA as the prime focus then you should wait for another 2-3 years and then go for jobs.
Full time MBA is always better then doing via correspondence.

you are a better choose for you, you can get admission in mba correspondence in any university provided then after with apply for job easily because you have a b.tech degree in computer science.

`~`According to me you must try your luck in job first.
I tell why.
`~`Because you will get knowledge about job area and get some work exprience through reputed companies.
In this way you can judge your self that where are you.
After having some exprience you can think about your career need.
If your job profile need MBA then go for this and if not then dont choose MBA.
`~`According to me if you are little more interested in technology then please choose M.tech in your field.
Because mastery in your field give you a bounce in your career and you will earn good pay scale.
So, its only depend on your interest that if you are interested in management then do MBA and if you want work as computer engineer then go for M.tech.

as far as CAT exam is concerned it needs a lot of hard work
so start preparing from now

This entirely depends on you. I prefer that if you are not that aged you complete a full time MBA course. But if age becomes a factor to you why don't you join a company and either look if they have any cell where they give there employees a chance to pursue MBA or you can do a PGDBM course which is just as valuable as MBA.

See its good to do MBA full time if your college is having good placements.But if you feel its not that high profile college. Then go for Job and part time MBA.

I think its totally your own desicision !

Because both the field are totally different, after completing your engineering course
I think you should go for Job first, If you will get a good job with high salary pacakage after your engineering course, then you should go for job, it is best option for you.

But, MBA is also the best option. So, If you will get job after engineering, then you will
do MBA through correspondence also. So, go for according to your interest.

I thnk dat once u hav d taste of money ul nevr again have the mood to go back to STUDY TABL and start off again with bookz!!!
So i would prefer MBA 1st but as mentioned by others here u can also do executiv MBA...it wud mak u too hectic so to manage both u wil hav to tak up a light job!!!
Once u r done wid MBA noone can stop u from havin a good pay and a a good placement!!!

its totally depend on your financial status and interest ..
if you need to go for a job then you should do mba with correspondence and otherwise you can go for regular
one advice i would like to suggest is that you should do mba as it will open a good career for you

It is always good to work when the economy is doing well and to study when the economy is doing bad. Now the economy is slowly recovering after a recession and there a more job opportunities when compared to last year. Since you have one more year to go, it would be better if you work and gain some experience. This experience of yours is always going to help you when you start doing your MBA program and even after that during your campus placements.

why should u do both task side by side ?

MBA is useful only when u r having a job experience of at least 2 years.So i'll suggest u to first have a job experience and then go for MBA.

doing job before doing an mba will definitely give you an edge when you enter a good college and also during the final placements of Mba...As far as field is concerned you must decide it on the basis of your interests...Best idea would be to keep your mind open to all fields....Then when you enter the mba college college decide after your 1st year which field is best suited for you.....

Well........doing job after MBA is better option because it is helpful in your job, also your salary package will also increase.

job is a ultimate criteria for your evolvement.

You should look for job first then after gaining the experience of 1 or 2 years look for MBA.
As now a days preference is given to those students who have work experience.
most companies hire those students first who has work experience.

an job is more prolific and consecutive after a degree course.
an mba aftermath rises you to top.
if you go to mba as fresher,you will start then,why not now?

may i know the scope of doing ME infrastructure engineering in civil engineering department........

if you have jobs then you must do it 3 to 4 year minimum.then you go for mba.as for carrier growth most importent things is experiance.so you should gather it atfirst.you you have no jobs then you do mba...

hi... i think in my opinion you should opt for your job first.. because experience and practice would give you more interest in read your MBA. doing MBA is a very nice carrier security and i think if one have that capability to think creatively about the benefits of the particular firm then he or she should first go for the job then only u go for your MBA as it also prepares you for what subject of MBA u should study.. thanks

you must do job before joining to any mba college .
even if u get a iim before doing job its degree would not be worth for few years.
you must have job experience. only its value gives you better jobs ahead.

This is very confusing to find job or to do MBA.Job is very necessary
but if you have done MBA it will rise your pay scale
so it is better to do MBA after all you are preparing for it too.

You can go for MBA as it is best to complete your PG at this point of time than to leave it for later so you can complete it now but if you get a good college and you are financilly secure to carry on your studies . If its not the case than definately you should opt for a job and you wil get good job as you are B.tech.

see friend you should concentrate on your studies because if you complete yuor studies than you can do better jobs which will give you good income. According to me you should first have to go with MBA

after your btech , you can do many courses.

but main two benificial courses are given below

1.MTECH.

2.MBA.

see if you are interested to do core engg related jobs. then mtech will be best option for you.

but if you are not intereste to do engg related jobs, then MBA will be best choice for you.

Many go directly to MBA after graduation.It is not a bad idea if you do that from a good college like IIMs.

But instead of doing MBA from colleges of less fame it is better to go for job.

If you are a fresher it would be better for you to do MBA first through regular mode and then go for job.
But if you are in job previosly you can carry o your jobs along with distance MBA.
Iff financial condition also does not support you, you can go for job after graduation.
Doing MBA will help you to get promotion and all

If you are having BBA degree at the moment then i suggest you to go for job because in these days getting job is becoming very difficult. you can do your MBA degree after getting a good job and can make progress after

if you are getting a good campus placement, then you must take the opportunity. otherwise since you are preparing for the cat exam, you must give it a try. if you get admission in a go0d business college then you must take the admission. after all now a days btech + mba is in great demand by multinational companies

but i will suggest you first complete your MBA then try for job. because after MBA you will get a very good job opportunity and scope. the salary will be also high.
