i am a b.tech 3rd yr ece student.i want to know the skills i should posses to achieve job in my core side

As you are doing B.Tech from ECE branch better to improve your communication skills first than your language skills as java core and advance and .net and ofcourse your syllabus should be done sincerely so that you can be placed in core companies.

company are dont looking for candidate who is out of world. so they need a candidate who is hardworking, having good technical skill etc

as you are from electronics and communication branch so if you want to do job in core company then you have to must improve your technical knowledge as well as communication skill and other personality development.


you have to know your main core subject like analog electronics, digital electronics, basic electronics, control system, microprocessor, analog and digital communication, VLSI etc.

if you want to do job in telecommunication sector then you must study the subjects telecommunication, computer communication and networking, internet technology, mobile communication, microwave etc.

some time electronics students prefer to do job in software field then you must know the C language and data structure. besides this you may do some courses on other language.

but for all type of job you have to improve your communication skill. you must speak english fluently. you must have professional attitude.

You should be technically very sound and your basic should be absolutely clear to get placed in core company.

You are a student of B.tech ECE so you should know the technical knowledge about .net application,DBMS and java applications...

Skills required for ECE student to get placed in core companies:
- Strong programming skills using Java, C/C++, JSP/JSF, HTML, and scripting languages.
- Experience in web services and web application development.
- Experience in database programming.
- Proficiency with Windows and Unix platforms.
- Ability to work independently to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Good communication skills.
- Additional desired skills include familiarity with graphics programming, geoinfomatics, and grid computing.

First and foremost that most of the companies expect from the students is to have a good knowledge of your basics right from your first year of engineering. Since you belong to ECE, it is easy to get into the core companies but be bold enough to state what you possess in front of the employer.
To be frank since it is not easy to remember all the subjects year wise thoroughly, prepare and try to improve in the main subjects like Electronic devices and circuits, Electronic Circuits-I&II, Signals and systems, Electromagnetic circuits, Digital electronics, Fiber optic communication, Linear Integrated Circuits, Transmission lines and Waveguides, Microprocessors and Antennas.
Moreover, whether you opt for a core company or a software company, the employers are more keen on the communication skills and ability so when everything goes fine, be bold, have confinement in speech with technical skills, then success is yours, you can crack any sort of interviews!

Its nothing..like you need skills to Find jobs in ECE companies.You must be in born talent and these In born talents are not from birth these are the skills you have gained IN your graduation level.

Basically BSNL or other PSU sector companies are Exam based companies, you have to clear exam before get into this.

But at the time of your Interview you need to have following things.

They will see your Overall aggregate and your resume.First impression is the last impression.

you skills you have done up till interview. any internships you have done. blah blah !!

But listen you conversation skills must be good enough to say your words.

You must have some knowledge about your core subjects like Control system, Digital Logic Design and DSP (Digital signal processing).

Dear Friend

As per educational qualification you are eligible for almost all companies
recruitment. Your academics do possess significant role in placement
but it doesn't mean that it is the only one that defines the final result.

Apart from academics a good communication skill and management skills
are also checked in the placement process so as to choose those candidates
who fit to the company profile most.

You have done whatever you could have done in education now you can
revise them well so as to be able to answer technical questions.
For rest of the part you should refer newspapers and magazines to be
updated about the current burning topics.
Try to stand confident in the interview and don't bother much for final result.

you still hav one yr more time to develop ur skills, which is a lot of time!

the core companies conduct exhaustive selection procedures for recruitment of candidates which involve many level of filtering ability tests! generally the tests are conducted in the following pattern:

stage 1: technical skills

stage 2: group discussion

stage 3: technical HR (some companies split up into 1 and 2 intra rounds)

stage 4: HR interview

so prepare urself for all these rounds well and get placed well!!!

For getting job in core companies, you must have good percentile in degree.
Your communication skill and problem solving skill matters a lot.
You must have deep knowledge of your core subjects like Control System, Power Electronics, Digital signal processing etc..
The core companies will take aptitude test for their recruitment so you have to good in aptitude.

For electronics communication engineering To get placement in core company's once should have following skills..

Basic good communication skill, along with analysis technique for tricky problems...

Coming to technical knowledge, he/she must be good in basics tools of ECE feilds,

-Matlab,
-ECAD lab
-digital signaling precess
-C basic lanaguage programing
-Circuit designing
-PCB layout designing

along with this the main project concept which is to be completed in 4 yrs-2 sem

frankly saying, if you are not able to improve your core in particulate field with in a duration of 4 years ..........
then how it's possible to excel with in short duration courses...

But coming to your question....

many institution are present which provide different scheme for improving particular field knowledge so consult and brush up you knowledge.

You have opportunity to improve in college itself as it provide English communication lab(ELCS) and also advance English skill development (AELCS)
laboratory ment to improve only English skill........

But if you want to do out side then join in spoken english institution present every where..

technical knowledge must be good.
fluent english is required.
you have work smartly with proper attention.
must be punctual.

explain basic communication system...............

skills required by an ece student is sound knowledge in networks communications
microprocessors control systems.circuits
if you are good at this you can definitely get a job and you can also learn electromagnetics and transmission lines.

as you are from ECE stream, and you want get a job in core sector, then you have to improve your technical knowledge.. you have to clear the basic concept...

You can go for short term courses like-
VLSI design
Embedded system
By doing these courses you can improve your technical skills..
as these course are in huge demand...
If you want to get a job in communication field then you can go for short term courses in BSNL, All India Radio etc...

So, now you decide in which field you want to build your career..

you are from 3 rd year ECE departments so you want to join in core sector.

but in core sector job are not huge .if you want to join in core sector then you have read well in given subjects.

1)digital
2)communication
3)vlsi
4)antena
5)digital communication
6)micro processor

if you are technically sound in above subjects then you have chances for core sector.
