Sir, I want to become a ias officer. I am confused about what that which stream Is best for it. ARTS /SCIENCE/COMMERCE .

Sir can you help me in it.

Let me be very clear about stream selection for Civil Services examination. If you analyze selections of last 5-10 years, you will come to conclusion that candidates from all stream are selected for the service.

Syllabus of exam somewhat overlaps with Arts stream but candidates from all disciplines have managed to clear this exam with their preparation. You must select the stream as per your own interest not what others suggest.

As far as my view is concerned about your query, no stream is best or worst for becoming an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) Officer and the selection of stream for their academics should be based on the candidate's personal interest and strength as human psychology suggests that in a field where one is having interest seems easiest for one but the same can be very difficult for other. So, choose your stream for academics accordingly.

But, from the point of the Civil Services examination preparation point of view candidates should also keep one thing in mind while choosing their stream for academics is the subject which they are going to choose as an optional subject for appearing in the Civil Services Main examination.
