I have finished my 10th board exams and bit confused about selection of stream for Intermediate. I want to join Indian Army as a Commando so which stream would be better for me in 11th and 12th? Won't I be able to apply for Commando post with Commerce stream?

If you want to join indian army as a commando then it won't matter which stream you are studying in 11th and 12th.

yes you can become a commando being a commerce student or even being an arts student.

If you want to serve technical department in army ar any defence force then you should study science.

For commando you will just need a bachelor degree.
That bachelor degree can be of any stream.

If you want to join in para forces,

First complete your 12th
Then appear for NDA exam.
NDA exam National Defence Academy twice in the year in the month of April and August.

Eligibility for NDA exam
Educational qualification :-
You must be passed the intermediate with Physics and Math.

Age limit:-
Age must be between the 16.5 to 19 years.
5 years age relaxation for SC / ST caste and 3 years age relaxation for the OBC caste.

Nationality :-
You must be Indian citizen .

Physical fitness :-
Height - Men height must be 157 cms Weight - should not be more than 55 kg

Selection procedure :-
Written test
Interview
Physical test.

To join in Para Commando, one has to appear for National Defence examination (NDA) after the completion of class 12th from a recognised board.

Para Commandos come under a separate wing of Indian Army.

After successful completion of training one will become a part of the Indian Army.

If the candidate has qualified in NDA then he has to choose Indian Army and the graduation is completed and training is done. After successful completion of training one will become a part of the Indian Army.

Aspirants can join in para commando by appearing for an six months training and also can go through experience.

To join para commando, a candidate must have to opt for PCM stream or Commerce stream in 11th standard and after passing 12th standard, the candidate has to appear in NDA examination.
After qualifying this examination you will have to join Indian Army and then you can join para commando.
