I am BCA, I am joining a software company. I want to do MCA from distant education. Because I want to join academic in future (after 10-15 yrs).
Is MCA from IGNOU or Sikkim Manipal University (Distant Education) eligible for Ph.D? Can such candidates teach in academics?

As long as you do the course from a recognised institute the degree that you take will have a value. Even distance education courses have value. IGNOU is one reputed courses in the field of distance education. After completion of the Master's course you can go in for a PH.d. If you wish to go into the teaching field it is recommendable that you pursue a M.Tech course after MCA.

DOING MCA THROUGH CORRESPONDENCE AND APPLYING FOR UGC AFTER THAT BENEFICIAL OR NOT?

Iam have work experience in IT. Basically a BE mechanical engineer. Interested for Lecturer Job. Looking to do MTech/ ME/ MCA/ MSc in computer Science.

I completed my BCA degree through regular basis and now I want to do MCA through correspondence.Which of the university is best"IGNOU or Sikkim Manipal University"?and later I want to do MTech also.So keeping this in mind which university is best?? all my friends are telling "Sikkim Manipal university "is good.Plz suggest me..Thanking you

Yes. It is also a very reputed distance education institute. Others are IGNOU, Punjab Technical University, Allahabad Deemed University, Karnatka State Open university, Anamalai University and BITS Pilani.
