hello
here the ifno. is been mention :- CBI Clerical Exam Pattern : The selection of candidates is on the basis of written exam, group discussion & interview. A candidate has to clear all this in order to get selected. Written Exam – There is 2 tests, objective test & descriptive test. Objective test : In this test, there will be 4 answers to a question & you have to choose the correct one & mark it accordingly. The test is divided into 4 sections. Each section contains 50 questions. One has to qualify in each section individually to get selected for the next round. The total time allotted will be 95 mins. The sections are- a. Reasoning Ability b. Clerical Aptitude c. English Ability d. Numerical Ability Also, the objective test will contain the negative marking. For each wrong attempt, marks will be deducted. Descriptive Test : This is a essay type exam. You will be given 5 questions on Socio- Economic Developments & Communication skills. All the questions is compulsory. This is a type of qualifying test as its marks will not be added in the merit but passing in this is important to get selected. gud_luck |

Hi dear,
The syllabus of CBI exams shall cover major topics like Criminal Law, Constitution Law, Evidence Law, Prevention of Corruption Act, Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, Information Technology Act and Central Vigilance Commission Act. There are many website offering sample question papers and text books which cover most of the topic are available in different book stores for references. Thanks |

It depends on the post what you are applying
if you are applying for law related job then the syllabus will be ->Criminal Law including IPC and Cr. PC, ->Constitution Law, Evidence Law, ->Prevention of Corruption Act, ->Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, ->Information Technology Act (IT Act) & Central Vigilance Commission Act (CVC Act). this is about the syllabus be clear with what you are writing while posting the question too.. because some exams do not have common syllabus of UPSC So we should be careful while providing Info To aspirants like you.. the syllabus for c.b.i exam is
Scheme of the Test: i) The test will be of two hours duration and the medium of question paper will be English only. ii) The test will be an objective type with multiple choices of answers and will carry a maximum of 100 marks. iii) There will be penalty for wrong answer. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one third of the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question. syllabus 1)There would be four Objective tests as described below: 1. Test of Numerical Ability. 2.Test of Clerical Aptitude. 3.Test of Reasoning Ability. 4.Test of English Ability .There is negative marking for the wrong answers in these Objective tests. Total time for the objective test is 95 minutes, with 50 questions for each of these four tests. You need to pass in each of the objective tests individually. Objective test for English Ability is however of qualifying nature only and although you have to qualify it, the marks scored by you is not counted for the merit positions. |

CBI Recruitment examination is held generally once a year in the month of February for the post of Sub-Inspectors of Police in Central Bureau of Investigation.
Examination Pattern :- The examination wills consists of two parts: Part I :- Written Examination : 400 marks (MCQ Type). Part II :- Personality Test (Interview): 100 marks. Examination Subjects :- 1) General Test :- General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 marks). General Awareness (75 marks). Numerical Ability (75 marks). 2) English Language :- Language Comprehension &Communication/Writing Ability Test (200 marks). |
