sir,
i have done m.tech in computer science.now i want to go for up pcs exam. can you please tell me the syllabus,exam pattern and therelevant option for choosing the optional subject for the exam. with regards ankit kumar |

I am doing ca final first group passed. I want to preparation for u.p pcs after completion of ca. so please advise me that i ca do pcs. what are the papers and syllabus for preliminary & mains exam. my freinds are said to me that pcs are so hard for commerce stream. is it true..... please send me all syllabus at my email verma.ramlakhan@rediffmail.com

UPPSC Recruitment Exam Pattern :
The competitive examination comprise three successive stages viz: 1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type). 2. Main Examination (Conventional Type, i.e. Written examination). 3. Viva Voce ( Personality Test ). (1) Subject for the Preliminary Examination: The preliminary examinationwill consist of the following two objective type papers ofwhich answer sheet be on OMR sheets. The syllabus is mentioned in Appendix-IV of this advertisement. The prescribed time for each paper is two hours and prescribed maximum marks for compulsory paper is 150 and for optional paper is 300. Paper-1 (Optional) The candidates must select any one of the following subjectsas optional subject: Subject Code Subject Code Subject Code Agriculture 01 Zoology 02 Commerce 03 Chemistry 04 Physics 05 Mathematics 06 Indian History 07 Geography 08 Economics 09 Political Science 10 Sociology 11 Philosophy 12 Geology 13 Psychology 14 Botany 15 Law 16 Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science 17 Statistics 18 Public Administration 19 Electrical Engineering 20 Mechanical Engineering 21 Civil Engineering 22 Paper - II (Compulsory): General Studies (Subject Code-23) Subjects for the Main (Written) Examination: The Written examination will consist of the following compulsory and optional subjects . The candidates have to select any two subjects from the list of optional subjects for main examination, Each optional subject will consist of two papers. (A) Compulsory Subjects: 1. General Hindi 150 marks 2. Essay 150 marks 3. General Studies (I-Paper) 200 marks 4. General Studies (ii-Paper) 200 marks General Studies UPPSC 2010 Syllabus paper-I & Paper-II: Shall be objective type containing 150 questions and for solving the questionstwo hours time is allowed. For other compulsory and optional papers three hours time is allowed. Two hundred maximum marks has been allotted for each optional question paper.(C) Personality Test (Viya-Voce) Total Marks 200. The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence. character, expression power / personality and general suitability for the service. |

Sir, I am preparing for the ias as well as for pcs exams. I would like to know when will the UP PCS forms be available? When will the exam held and what will be the pattern? Is CSAT introduced in UP PCS as well? Please provide me all the relevant details along with the study material which i should go through. I have chosen Pub-Adm and sociology. i am a poor student and recently i buy a pcs allahabad form and its cost was 220 /- my heart was breaks but with a heavy heart i buy it.on the envalop write that 155/- ka form hai jo es cost se jyata me sale kare ga use punishment milaga i told this to shopkeper but he said when the leader are doing currpt. then why not we ?i can't do anything but i want bacuse i am poor but government must do somthing. lets change the state ,country and the world . appeal to up government ,student and all our people.
