The Management Aptitude Test or MAT is the test conducted by All India Management Testing Service for entering into MBA or equivalent post graduate programmes. There are five papers in MAT:

how much chances for a more thn average student to score good in this mat?where can i get sample papers?

I t depends upon your own preparetion for the entrance exam.

It is not neccessary that an average student cant crack it with good percentage,prepare for it well,you will be able to crack it with good ranking.

MAT is an objective type test (with multiple choice answers)
.MAT consists of 4 sections :
1)Language Comprehension: The Language Comprehension area contains questions on Reading Comprehension, Antonyms, Synonyms, Analogies, Sentence Correction, Sentence Completion, Para Jumbles, Fill in the blanks etc. with easy to moderate difficulty level.
2) Mathematical Skills: The Mathematical Skills area mostly contains problems from Arithmetic, Business Maths and Geometry.
3) Data Analysis and Sufficiency: The Data Analysis and Sufficiency area contains sets of questions on Tables, Bar / Line graphs, Pie chart and Data Sufficiency.
4) Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: In the Intelligence and Critical Reasoning area the questions are normally seen from the various Logical Reasoning topics like Direction Sense, Blood Relations, Coding and Decoding, Data Arrangement, Input/Output analysis, Series and Sequences and Critical Reasoning.
5)Indian and Global Environment: The Indian and Global Environment section contains questions from General and Current Awareness. Topics and events about a year old would be most expected to be faced in this area. Business, politics, sports, awards and distinctions, books - anything could be a part of this section.

MAT Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

• MAT stands for Management Aptitude Test. This is also a National Test which is conducted by the All India Management Aptitude Testing Service.
  
• For four times every year this exam is conducted usually in the months of February, May, September and December.
  
• MAT is a paper-based as well as computer-based test. You have to choose the test format which seems most convenient to you.
  
• To give this exam you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
  
• The minimum percentage to obtain have not been mentioned therefore on getting the pass marks you will be eligible to give this exam.
  
• Even final year students who are about to give their final exam or awaiting the result of their final exam are also eligible.
  
• There is no age criteria as such which means you can afford to give this exam whenever you want to.

The next exam is in the month of September and here is the important dates of this September's exam:-

1. Last date to purchase form: 14 August 2013 (Wednesday)
2. Last date for submission of filled in registration forms: 17 August 2013 (Saturday)
3. Last date for online registration: 14 August 2013 (Wednesday)
