Re: Is there any special seat reserved for biotech graduates in OTA?
OTA stands for the Officer's Training Academy. It is one of the academies of Combined Defense Services. The eligibility criteria for the OTA is that candidate must have done bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates of graduation can also apply for the exam.
The age limit for the exam is 19-25 years. No, there is no special seat reserved for the biotech graduates in OTA. You will be treated as like other general candidates. You must clear the written test and Service Selection board to get job in OTA. Both male and female candidates with unmarried marital status can apply for the exam. |

Re: Is there any special seat reserved for biotech graduates in OTA?
No, there is no special seat for any candidate belonging to any category. So no seat in Officer's Training Academy is reserved for the biotech graduates.
For joining OTA, a candidate must appear for the Combined defense services examination. It is entrance exam conducted twice every year by the UPSC. As you are a biotech graduate, you are eligible to apply for this exam. The age limit is 19-25 years for candidates belonging to every category. Both male and female candidates who are unmarried can apply for the exam. Entrance exam consists of written test and Service Selection board.
