Yes you have to give entrance test in any of the off campus test.
In the off campus interview the company's short list the candidates
through a small aptitude test.

Those qualify the aptitude test will only call for the interview test.
So you have to give a small entrance test whether you are applying
for
HCL
IBM
INFOSYS
TCS or any other company.

You can study the following books for the preparation of entrance
examination in the off campus interviews.

YES you have to give entrance test for off campus placement in many companies........

they will take a small aptitude test of your for shortlisting the candidates and then if you qualify their aptitude test then the company will be calling you for interview..............do well in both........

If suppose some student got recruited in college campus interview and unfortunately if that students fails in final exams then will company still keep that student or he/she will be fired???????

For off campus placement, firstly you have to submit your resume at company's website. Then at the time of off campus they will contact you via Email and then you have to give aptitude test for that company and then you can go for further procedure.
I just want to clear that APTITUDE TEST is the most important part of selection criteria ,
if u scores good in aptitude test then you will also get benefit in after interview.
So for making your aptitude strong you have to solve R.S. Agarwal. This will help you in a big manner to making you aptitude strong.
and also try your best to increase your Technical as well as you can
