Hi, I am a female candidate and I want to become a Custom Officer. My height is 148 cm. Is this good enough? Is there any relaxation for female candidates and which are other physical and medical tests required?

Minimum height required for applying towards Custom Officers for female candidates is 152 cms.

Height is relaxable only in case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and members of Scheduled Tribes.

Since, your height is 148 cms, so you may not apply for Custom Officer as your height doesn't meet the required height standards.

Other than Physical standards test, there will be following Physical Test.

• Walking: 1 km in 20 minutes
• Cycling: 3 kms in 25 minutes

Female- 150 cms (Height is discountable for hills men and tribal up to 5cms.) ii. Chest: 76 cms with expansion for male candidates. There is no such requirement for female candidates.
