DRDO---Defense research and development organisation

The DRDO is the organisation of Defense which is responsible for enhancing the technology for Indian defense by improving technologies by doing innovations which is very essential for Defense sector.

DRDO conducts an entrance exam called DRDO SET which is held every year.
DRDO exam is conducted for scientist entry for grade'B'.

Date of exam--
DRDO SET exam is conducted on 1st Sunday of September month every year


DRDO SET Exam Pattern:-

>>Duration--three hours
>>The exam consists of 2 sections that are A and B.

section--A
>>Section 'A' is of 100 questions in the test .
Basically the candidate's knowledge in the subject of their BE/ BTech as mentioned below the subjects,or MSc ( for Science Discipline) is tested in this section,section-A.

Section--B
>>Section 'B' is of 50 questions in the test .
Basically here the candidate's ability in analytical and qualitative skills, current affairs and general awareness is there in order to test the aptitude and scientific knowledge required for Applied Research & Development.

The distributions of 50 questions for Section ‘B’ are given below:

• Logical Relations -----which has 10 Questions
• Spatial Reasoning ------10 Questions
• Concept Formation ----10 Questions
• Abstract Reasoning ----10 Questions
• Numerical Reasoning ----10 Questions again .

so all the questions carry equal weight age in all the questions of sections--A and B.



Negative Marking:::
>>since there will be 150 questions in all ,100 from section - A and 50 from Section-B.

In section-A
for Each correct response----4 marks
for Each incorrect response---- (-1) marks

In section-B
for Each correct response----2 marks
for Each incorrect response---- (-1/2) marks


DRDO SET Subjects --
Aeronautical,
Civil,
Electrical,
Chemical,
Computer,
Electronics/Electronics & Communication,
Instrumentation,
Mechanical,
Metallurgy etc

and Science subjects such as Chemistry, Physics and Maths/ Operations Research/ Statistics etc.
