No, there is no typing test for the bank clerical examination. The examination for the bank clerk is conducted by the IBPS for the recruitment in the banks other than the SBI where it conducts the special examination for the recruitment.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is :-
* Candidate must have passed the graduation from the recognised university.
* Candidate age must be between 19-28 years and +3 for the OBC and +5 for the SC/ST on the upper age limit.

The examination is conduced in the written and the interview. So the candidate need to qualify in both of them for the final selection.

The written examination contains the question of Aptitude, General knowledge, English, Computer, Elementary mathematics and Reasoning.

For more information visit at the www.ibps.in or www.onlinesbi.co.in.

Typing is not necessary required in clerical examinattion you just need to have good maths, reasoning , english , and GA . However if you have good typing skill it would be helpful for your job because in banking jog you have to perform all the work on computer. So if you have good typing skills you can able to do the same type of work in shorter period of time. So you must have atleast some basic knowledge of typing although not required in job.
