Vinayak Mission Research Foundation, Salem (Tamilnadu) is deemed university which soon become university and it is not fake university. Its name is availble in the UGC website where they have kept under in deemed university under.

Yet its not recognized with UGC but they have given proposal to UGC to become UGC affilated.

The vinayaka mission university-Directorate of Distance education commenced its programs in 2007 with the objective of widening access to higher education for diversified learners at national and global levels.

Vinayaka Mission University is approved by UGC .

Vinayaka Missions University (VMU) is a higher education institution based in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India.

In the year 2001 the "University" status was conferred on Vinayaka Missions by The Ministry of
Human Resources Development, Government of India, with the recommendations of the UGC
(Established Under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956) as an acknowledgement of its excellence,
satisfaction of the highest level of academic standards.

This university is also approved by DEC(Distance Education Council) and AICTE(All India Council for
Technical Education).

Vinayak Mission University is not an UGC recognised university. How ever, they hav given the proposal to get affiliated with UGC. It is not a fake university and the "University" status was conferred on Vinayaka Missions by The Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
