If a girl has a commerce background in 10+2 and wants to be a officer in the defence...so what is the way to get there and what are the exams she can appear for??

# Please note that there is limited job opportunities for female candidates in the defence sector.

# Being a female candidate, you have following two ways to join Indian defence forces:

* Cracking CDS Examination in order to get recruited in Officer Training Academy (OTA)
* Cracking CDS Examination in order to get recruited in Ground Duty Branch of Air Force Academy (AFA)

# In order to be eligible for CDS Examination, candidate is required to possess any graduation degree from any recognized university or equivalent. Candidate with any bachelor degree in any subjects/discipline and with any percentage marks are eligible to apply.

# Required age limit:

* 19-25 years for Officer Training Academy (OTA)
* 19-23 years for Ground Duty Branch of Air Force Academy (AFA)

# Candidate has to undergo through followings stages/process in the selection process of CDS Examination:

* Written Test (Objective Type)
* Personal Interview by SSB
* Physical & Medical Fitness Test

# Please note that there is fully exemption from Objective Type Written Test for those candidates (either male or female) who possessing NCC 'C' Certificate.
