Hello Sir, I'm Akshay Dahiya. I've completed my degree in Hotel Management. Is there any scope for me to become a Food Safety Officer after it? Then let me know the procedure. I'll be very thankful.

No you are not eligible to apply for Food safety officer post. Because the eligibility required for applying this post is that the candidate must have done B.Sc. or B.Tech in Food Technology or Dairy technology or Home science or Biotechnology or oil technology or Agriculture science or veterinary science or Biochemistry or Microbilogy. Also Master's in Chemistry from a recognized University or college is eligible. Also the candidate must have the relevant experience from any reputed organization.

No, degree in Hotel Management students are not eligible for food safety officer.

Those who have completed graduation in agriculture / pharmacy/ food technology / dairy technology from a recognised University are eligible to apply for food safety officer.

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years.

To become Food Safety Officer, you should posses following academic qualification.

Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. or B.Tech) in
Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Home Science or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agriculture Science or Veterinary Science or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Medicine
OR
Master’s degree in Chemistry

If the candidate has completed graduation or post graduation as mentioned above from a recognized institution, then he/she is eligible for becoming Food Safety Officer.

Also, note that age limit for this post is between 21 to 40 years.
