I'm an Ex-Serviceman. I would like to get into Andhra Pradesh police force. I believe I'm eligible for Sub-Inspector post. The only thing I'm not sure is about the age criteria. So, could you please update me about the age limit for this?

Age limit for Sub-Inspector for different cadres is between 21 to 25 years in Andhra Pradesh.

Hence, lower age limit is 21 years while upper age limit is 25 years.

For AP Police SI post, the age limit criteria is between 21 to 27. That is, you should be at-least 21 years of age and must not be over 27 years of age on the date as mentioned in the application notification.

This means your birth year should not be earlier than 1991 or later than July, 1997.

Apart from this, you need to have a degree awarded by any University of India.

Also, you need to meet the physical eligibility criteria.

The academic qualification required to apply for Andhra Pradesh Sub Inspector is bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. Final year graduation candidates can also apply for exam.

The age criteria for general category candidate is 21-27 years. It is relaxed by three years for OBC and five years for SC/ST candidates. Ex Serviceman candidate also get five years upper age relaxation.

The age limit for Andhra Pradesh Sub Inspector is:

1. It is 21-27 years for open category candidates. The upper age relaxation is available to candidates of reserved category.

For example, OBC candidate get three years upper age relaxation, SC/ST get five years and Ex Serviceman also five years.

Age Limit for Andhra Pradesh's Sub Inspector is as follows:-

FOR BOTH MEN / WOMEN (GENERAL): 21 Yrs. to 30 Yrs.

FOR SC/ST CANDIDATES : 21 Yrs. to 35 Yrs.

FOR OBC CANDIDATES : 21 Yrs. to 33 Yrs.

As you are Ex-serviceman, there are 3 years upper age limit relaxation as per the Government Rules. So if your age is not more than 28 years, then you can apply for the concerned post.
