How we get colleges of choice from aieee ranking or marks

candidates eligible for AIEEE are supposed to receive AIEEE counselling broschure through mail.
The basic process includes
1. Register online through the website www.ccb.nic.in by providing neccessary information.
2.After registraion, you will be asked to mark your choices of institutes. The availability of seats will be shown according to your eligibility.
3. Once selected and locked will be taken as the final choice of the candidate.

finally, as soon as after checking the allotment status on the website, you must report to the institute and complete the admission formalities because not reporting will result in loosing your seat.

A detailed information of the same will be available in the AIEEE conselling broschure.

In aieee counselling the admission is taken through all india rank basis. As you have asked that admission ir on rank or marks basis, my dear brother , it's a simple thing that as your marks increase your rank gets better. Ok

Both are taken into account at the time of councelling.

1) General Candidates those who have scored 55 marks in AIEEE 2010 can appear for councelling under gerenal quota, while it is 33 for OBC Quota.

2) If you are not ranking well, say within 12,000 AIR then you wont be provided NIT's.

3) If you are scoring 40-45 Marks that means you are getting 3,00000-3,50,000 AIR, and with that OBC are able to appear for Councelling, But General not, so in that case only to options are available i)switch to Managemenet Quota, ii) Appear for it next time.

So, more or less both are Proportional to each other.

If you have scored 55 and above then you are eligible for online counselling for NITs,IIITs,BITs etc.If you are not eligible for this then you have to go to the counselling of your state board where 10% seats are reserved for aieee rank holders.

This is the basis of aieee counsellings.

As my friend faiyaz suggested u all the procedures of aieee exam keep in mind that their is negative marking in aieee entrence exams and marks will be deducted on each wrong answer so keep care full and work hard

AIEEE allot each candidate two ranks one of this is overall india rank and second one is state rank out of these all india rank is used for get admission in the NIT(national institute of techonology)in all india and state rank is used for get admission in their respective state nit in whish 50% seats are reserved for respective state students and rest 50% sis for outsiders

In counselling, both marks and entrance rank are given same kind of weightage. Admission to top colleges are done based on the rank, but when it comes to admission with in a band of colleges, marks will also give mileage to get into top ranked colleges. if both are less, there is little chance of getting to the counselling process under general quota. Reserved categories may have exemption in both rank and marks.

Its Depend On Ur Rank In AIEEE. Online Councelling Will Start Soon And Through This Councelling You Will Get Ur College. U Have To Select Your College In That Councelling And Have To Lock Your Choices(according To Your Preference To The College) Before The Last Day Of Councelling And Afterwards Councelling Result Will Display. There Is Not Only One Councelling. After First Councelling Second Councelling Is Held Then Third And Then Forth And Goes On.

on the basis of your marks scored in AIEEE exams , you will get the ranking.That ranking decides whether you are eligible for counselling or not.so your marks and rankings are equally important to get called for counseling.if you have a ranking under 15,000 then you can expect to get into NITs and other good colleges.

First and foremost your AIEEE rankings are considered. Then of course your 12th marks. If you are eligible for any quota reservations, then that will also be considered accordingly!!

AIEEE ranks is taken into account during counselling.

aieee counselling is based on aieee rankings and small credit is given to marks also .. they will consider both ..

my rank is 41785 in category in all india or state rank is 772 which colleges will i get for my admission most probably?

all we have to do is just give the exam with good preparation. higher the marks we get lower will be our rank and more will be the chances of getting college of our choice.

I got 70 marks in AIEEE 2010 under general category in Tamil Nadu. My All India Rank: Overall-160641 Category-109435 State Rank: Overall-3253 Category-1713. In which colleges i can get admission? Is there any chance to get seat in NIT, Trichy with my state rank in Home State quota?

At the time of councelling, both are important, marks as well as rank. Those who will
get 55 marks in AIEEE, they are apply for gerenal quota, while 33 marks is minimum
for OBC candidates. If you have scored good rank in aieee exams, then you will get
good colleges like NIT's otherwise you will get average colleges..........

If you want to get admission on your all india rank basis then your all india rank is considered. Otherwise for your state quota admission your state rank

The basis of the admission in the aieee is the all india rankings..............or the state category rankings........

Hi,

Marks are direct indicators of the rank a candidate scores.Better is the marks scored, better shall be the ranking.There is no fixed cut-off .It varies from one year to another depending upon overall performance of candidates sitting for the test.

As far as AIEEE is concerned, It gives two rankings : All India Rank(AIR)and State Rank.State rank is given as every state has certain quota as per size and population . Besides this ,there are OBC,SC,ST quota also.

State rank of AIEEE is of no use unless you have Good AIR.

State rank will be taken into account after checking your AIR, and only if you are enrolling in state college. But AIR is alway given priority.

Unless anybody have state rank within 1,000 he/she cannot expect the Good institute of his/her state through Councelling. Otherwise if one wants to go through Management Quota then its not an issue.


This because even a (-ve) negetive marks getting student can have state rank within 20,000 as it is seen in west bengal this year.

It is based on the all india ranking.
According to your rank they will allot collages to students.

you rank is on the basis of your marks.
you get a college from aieee on the basis of your AIR, overall ranking and your state rank also depends on your AIR. so there is no use of good state rank ( below 1000 in state rank) untill you want a college in your state

Difficult, when you want a college through Home state ranking your home state rank should be between 1-1000 only then there are any chances for you yo get a college.
You must have applied for online counseling!!!

yes you mat get a seat in tamilnadu since your state rank is good though not so well.But yes, you will get a good college for sure.

AIR-overall ranking is cosidered when seats are alloted to candidates in AIEEE.

AIEEE and all entrance xams of engineering is according to ur rank.

ranks are already given as per ur marks.
