To become IPS officer, you have to write Civil service exam conducted by UPSC. To apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course from a recognised board and your age should between 21 to 30 years, upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.
IPS is one of the All India Allied services provided, once you clear this exam. The post highly competitive among aspirants. Designations like DSP, SP , Commissioner are given to passouts after training for IPS. After selection, you will be trained for two in IPS academy in Hyderabad. The notification of CSE Examination is going to be published soon next year in the month of February and eligible candidates may fill the application form online only. No, offline application form facility is applicable for any candidates in this examination. The examination is conducted in 2 stages, preliminary and Mains, Firstly, you have to cracked the preliminary examination, this is objective and there are two papers in this examination. If you cracked this stage, then you are eligible for Mains. The main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the optional subjects for Main examination. You have to prepared for this examination as per the pattern and syllabus, only then you will be able to cracked this examination, If you face any problem then you can join some good coaching classes. IPS stands for Indian Police Service. The role of IPS officer include taking part in anti terror operations, bursting drug and human smuggling. Apart from it IPS officer is also responsible to provide security to VIP persons.
During the communal riots or any sort of violence. IPS officer has to maintain law and order at the same time provide the latest ground situation to the government officials. IPS officers also take part in meetings where strategy is designed to prevent further spread of the violence. In order to become IPS officer you will have to appear for the Civil Service Examination. You can do so with a graduation degree. It does not matter in which stream you have completed graduation, neither percentage is considered. All you need is graduation degree to appear for the Civil Service Examination. Therefore you can study any graduation course which you find interesting and easy to apply for Civil Service Examination. Eligibility 1. Only candidates of Indian origin can apply. 2. A graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university. 3. Age limit for IPS is 21 to 30 years. 4. Age limit for SC/ST candidates is 35 years. 5. IPS Stands for the Indian Police services and for the post and also for the IAS post the upsc department is conducting the exam the civil services exam every year and the exam notification will normally comes in the month of the Feb. and exam conducts in the month of the May or either in the month of the June .. And if you want to become a IPS Officer than you need a strong determination and will power and also you should be always positive .And first make choice that which subjects you are going to choose in the Exam as optional subjects and than needs to start daily reading them along with the compulsory subjects English and General studies and do daily work and also read daily a national news paper for the current knowledge .And make a time table and strictly follow the time table and study at least 15 hours a day because it requires strictly in the Mains exam and also you have to take coaching of it .. And for the post you have to apply for the civil services exam that is conducted by the upsc department and their is 3 stages or three levels that you have to clear to become a IPS Officer and the first is the pre exam and than after it their is the Mains exam and the last and final step is the Final Interview .. Qualifications Required to apply for the exam : -The Applicant must be a graduate from a recognized university -The Applicant of final year can also apply for the exam -The Applicant either pass in any equivalent degree to graduation -The Applicant age must be 21 to 30 -Their is also relaxation given as per the government rules Nationality : -Indian Number of Chances : -their is 4 attempts given to the general to attempts the exam -their is 7 attempts for the obc -Their is no limit for the sc,st Best of luck |

To become an IPS officer,you have to appear for CIVIL SERVICES EXAM.
This exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year The minimum eligibility criteria to appear in this examination is graduation in any stream. Final year candidates can also apply. Age should be between 21-30 years. Age relaxation is 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. number of attempt limit is 4 for General Candidates,7 for OBC Candidates and no limit for SC/ST Candidates. |

You have not mentioned in your question about your present qualification and hence I am telling you about all the requirements right from class 10th onwards. IPS Stands for Indian Police Services and the exam for the same is conducted by UPSC every year. You have to fill the form of IAS and once you complete your graduation as it is a graduation based exam. Primary qualification of the exam is as follows - 1. Age - Minimum 21 Maximum 32-37 based on your category 2. Nationality - Indian 3. Subject - No bar 4. minimum education - Graduation or final year of graduation. 5. You should have the following physical fitness also like Minimum height 172 CM, Weight proportionate to Height, Eye sight 6/6 and 6/9, Chest 180 without expansion and 185 with expansion. Exam Pattern - 1. Pre Exam 2. Mains 3. Physical Exam 4. Interview Training Center - IPS Training center Hyderabad (Training is of 02 year) Hope it will help |
