What is the career scope with MA Linguistics?


Hello Sir, I have completed English honors and now I have taken admission in MA Linguistics. I wanted to ask that to be in educational sectors can degree in Linguistics can be helpful as I have done my B.Ed also? Please guide me in reference to this as soon as possible.

Linguistics is the scientific study of language. If you are interested in linguistics and want to make a career in teaching profession in linguistics, then M.A (Linguistics) is better study option as you have completed B.Ed. You can also choose the specialization in which you are most interested and make a career in that. Most institutes offer admission based on performance of candidates in entrance exam.

M.A (Linguistics) Eligibility
You must have passed bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized university.
