Airhostess / flight steward is the post of those professionals who welcome the passengers during the flight board.it may be called one of the most glamorous profession these days.

THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE POST OF AIRHOSTESS /FLIGHT STEWARD ARE GIVEN AS FOLLOWS:-
10+2/DEGREE(graduate) DIPLOMA IN TOURISMS MANAGEMENT OR HOTEL MANAGEMENT
FLUENT IN SPEAK ENGLISH /HINDI WITH GOOD KNOWLEDGE
KNOWLEDGE OF OTHER INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE MAY BE GIVEN AS ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION

AGE
male- not more than 26 years
Female - not more than 25 years

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
the candidate must be unmarried
Eye sights - 6/6
Height - (male)- 163cm (female)-157.5cm at least

Men choose the career is called Flight Steward. If you have a skills and talent, You can become a flight steward.

Steps to Become Flight Steward
- Complete graduation in Hotel Management & Tourism.
- Apply for air hostess training institute and complete the training.
- Apply for various airlines for the post of Flight Steward.
- If shortlisted, You will get call for written exam.
- After qualifying written test, Group Discussion followed by personal interview.
- If get selected, You will be recruited as a trainee.
- You will get training where you taught Service, Grooming, Safety, First Aid, Technical and Non-Technical aspects of airlines.
- After completion of training, You will get posting as a Flight Steward.

Eligibility
- Only unmarried candidates are eligible.
- You should have passed graduation in hotel management and tourism from a recognized university.
- You should have Indian Passport.
- Your age should be between 18 to 25 years.
- You should have fluency to speak English, Hindi and Other International Languages.
- You should have height at least 163 cms.
- Eye Sight should be 6/6 uncorrected in each eye.

Required Skills For Air Hostess/Flight Steward
Discipline, Patience, Sense of Responsibility, Self Confidence, Team Work, Friendly Nature, Good Communication Skill, Commercial Awareness, Flexibility In Work etc.

Salary
At starting level, One can expect salary in range from Rs.25,000/- to 30,000/-.It also depends on recruiter. International Airlines offer more salary in range from Rs.40,000/- to Rs.60,000/- per month. After getting experience, One will get promotion as a senior flight attendant and head attendant.

Eligibility Criteria Required to become an Air Hostess:

As far as my best knowledge is concerned, there is no separate criteria for Male and Females. So, there is a certain criteria for becoming Air Hostess and is as follows.

>> The basic educational qualification required is "12th Class" or Higher Secondary course in 10+2 pattern from a recognized university

>> The minimum age required is 18 years and maximum age must not exceed 25 years to be eligible.

>> You must be well versed with English, Hindi and any foreign languages

>> You must have a valid Indian Passport

>> You must be Physically fit in order to be eligible.
