Ministry of education comes under Human Resource and Development department and the same department is currently ministered by Prakash Javedkar.

For doing well in competitive examination in general knowledge paper you should go through the current affairs books by UPKAR or Arihant Publication. Along with these you should also go through magazines like Pratiyogita Darpan, Success India for doing good in general knowledge section of any competitive examination.
