NET Examination is Conducted by UGC, Twice in a year to determine the Eligibility for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship Post. The examination is Conducted in June and December every year. For Previous year both NET Examination was already completed.

If you have completed your Post graduate degree course from a recognised University, then you are eligible for NET Examination.

But you have to scored minimum 55% marks in your Post graduation. Those who failed to scored minimum 55% marks in Post graduation are not eligible for NET Examination.

So, please wait for the Notification, The Notification of June NET Examination will be Published soon in the month of March/April 2012. When the Notification declared it will be Published in the official website.

Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online Only, the application fees of NET Examination is Rs 450 and you have to pay the fees through Challan form in SBI Bank.

From this year Onward's all the NET papers will be Objective, No descriptive papers in NET Examination and no negative marking.

The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and foraward of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in theteaching profession and research.
The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.

Important Dates For NET Exam:

The UGC NET exam is held twice in a year. They are held in June 2012 and December 2011/2012. The notification details and other important announcement are made in March and September 2012 respectively. They can be also checked in The Employment News.
Date of UGC NET entrance test by June last week, 2012.
• Notifications will be published by March last week, 2012
• Final date for online application April last Week, 2012
• Final date of submitting the documents at the center: May first Week, 2012
• Date of common entrance Exam is by December last week, 2011/2012
• Final date for submitting he completed form is by September end, 2011/2012

NET- NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducted by UGC twice every year one in the month of June and other in the month of December for selection of Lectureship and award of JRF(Junior Research Fellowship)

The candidate who has completed Post Graduation with at least 55% marks in any discipline from a recognised University above the age of 19 years can apply for NET. There is no upper as bar for those applying for Lectureship but those applying for JRF must be within 28 years of age.

The notification for this year June exam is yet to be announced which is expected in the month of March-April through the official website of UGC i.e. www.ugcnetonline.in

The NET can be applied through UGC website. The selection is through written exam comprises of all objective type questions on the basis of subject of respective post graduation.

First kindly try to explain which NET exam u want to write or in which subject because many agency conduct NET exam such as csir-ugc NET for science subject and Ugc-NET for ALL subject including HOme science and environment science except other science subject and NET exam conduct BY ARS -NET for Agriculture university.
csir-uga net and ugc net conduct exam twice in a year
one in june month and another one is Dec.month
but ARS -net only one time in a year.

in 2012 csir net exam will be held on 17 june 2012.
