The dates regarding TANCET 2011 have not yet been published. However based on TANCET 2010, the tentative dates follow as:

Date of TANCET 2011 Entrance Examination: Last week of May, 2011

Availability of TANCET 2011 Application Forms: Last week of March, 2011

Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: Last week of April, 2011

I need a help from u... I wrote my TANCET in 2010... i got admission in Easwari college,Chennai....
But i discontinued all of a suuden after 2 months...
Can i attend TANCET 2011 n get admission in some other college for d year 2011-2012....

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is an entrance examination conducted every year by Anna University on behalf of Tamil Nadu Government. TANCET is for admission in M.Tech/M.E./MBA/MCA/M.Arch/M.Plan programs.

The Anna University (Chennai) will conduct the 2011 edition of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2011) on May 29 and 30, 2011.

Availability of Application forms:

The form can also be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.Candidates can also download the form online through the website www.annauniv.edu. There will be a common form for all the programmes and candidates who want to appear for more than one programme has to pay additional examination fees for every programme

The completed application (registered through Internet) should reach The Secretary, TANCET, Centre for Entrance Examinations, Anna University Chennai, Chennai 600 025 on or before 26.04.2010, by 5.30 p.m. The Applications received after the due date and time will not be considered at any cost.
The application form is only for applying for the Common Entrance Test for admissions to M.B.A. / M.C.A. / M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes.

TANCET Pattern


All the Entrance Exams will be of 2 hours duration consisting of multiple choice questions. MBA and MCA Entrance exam will have 100 questions each while

ME/MTech/M.Arch/M.Plan entrance will have separate compulsory and specialization sections.Candidates will have to choose the specialization section depending on their qualifying degree.
There will be negative marking in all the exams for incorrect answers.

For the current academic year, TANCET 2011, the notification has not been announced yet.

In the previous year, the TANCET 2010 was conducted on 29 and 30th of May 2010.

This year too we expect the same dates or a slight change in the dates.
