What is the difference between a Lawyer and an Advocate?

Sir, I have completed my Masters in Sociology. Now, I want to make a career in Law. So, what should I study now to become a Lawyer? Further, what is the difference between a Lawyer and an Advocate? Which one is better?

You can enroll in LL.B course to became a lawyer. Once, you complete the degree you can either start your own practice or can join any government court. They are paid well.

There is a very slight difference between Lawyer and Advocate. The lawyer is someone who is a specialized advocate dealing with the clients directly. While an advocate does not deal with the clients directly.
A lawyer is someone who is still learning or studying LL.B while an advocate is a person who has already completed his degree.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
