Quote:
MBBSstands for bachelor in medicine and bachelor in surgery. It is a medical degree in allopathy. After completing your MBBS you can do MS and specialize yourself in any particular field like: Neurologist. Cardiologist...etc You can even work as a doctor in private or public hospitals and you can even open your own clinic. BAMSIt is medical degree in Ayurveda. After completing BAMS you can go for higher studies in it like MS in ayurveda but you cannot go for MBBS after it.Also you can work in Healthcare IT, Ayurvedical Private Medical colleges, Medical Tourism, Research Laboratories, Pharma industry, Medical Tourism, etc. or open your own clinic. This field is very innovative as there are always new things that to be discovered. Both of them are considered equal in the eye of law but the truth is MBBS are given importance over BAMS by indian society. |

Re: What is the difference between MBBS and BAMS?
Dear Friend
Do not worry ,here I am explaining the difference between the two terms which you have mentioned as below: The acronym MBBS stands for the Bachelor of medicine and surgery. >>Under this the students complete a course of four and half years followed by the one year compulsory rotatory internship before applying for the degree. >>The course is divided into four parts and second part lasting in one and half years. >>Students have to taken admission at the end of each part.First part includes preclinical subjects like anatomy, physiology and biochemistry.Second part includes pharmacology, pathology, microbiology and so on. >>This course is approved by the Medical Council of India. The acronym BAMS stands for the Bachelor of Ayurveda ,Medicine and Surgery and is a medical degree in India. >>It is a five and half year course including one year internship after 10+2 science. >>The course includes modern physiology and anatomy ,principles of science ,principles of surgery etc. >>You can practice anywhere in Indian if you have BAMS degree. Hope the information satisfies you .If you have still any other query regarding this you can leave your message here . All the best for your career. aashisranjan784 |
