Default Re: What is the difference between VB and VB.NET?

First to expand the acronyms:
VB stands for Visual Basic
VB.NET stands for Visual Basic Network Enabled Technology

VB.NET is object-oriented language and is a modern language, supported within the larger Visual Studio .NET suite.
VB( also known as VB6) is its predecessor, and is currently no longer active or maintained.

VB6 was interpreter based language.
VB.NET is a compiled language.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
