As you belong from a poor family first you need to decide whether you want to pursue further education or do you want a job. Because even after completing graduation there are several jobs out there in government sector for you.

If your decision is to go for the job then please remember that government jobs are only offered after appear for the entrance exam. The first entrance exam I would recommend is Civil Service Examination.

Civil Service Examination is conducted tor recruit IAS, IPS, IFS etc. The qualification requirement for Civil Service Examination is graduation course in any stream from a recognised university. This makes you eligible for Civil Service Exam. IAS and IPS are considered very reputed jobs that are well paid and comes with additional perks. However it would not be easy to crack the Civil Service Exam since over 5 Lakh candidates appear for it every year.

The second option would be IBPS Bank exams. IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection and conducts two exams IBPS Clerk and IBPS Bank PO exam for the 19 Public Sector Undertaking banks in the country. With the graduation degree, you can appear for the both exams. Therefore this is also a very good option.

Thirdly you can appear for ACIO Grade II Exam which is for Asistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II post in Intelligence Bureau. You may have heard about the IB on news as the agency is responsible for gathering internal intelligence and counter terrorism operations. The eligibility for ACIO is graduation degree in any stream.

However if you wish to study further, there are several options for you.

First option would be M.Sc in Mathematics. After completing the post graduation, you can apply for lectureship in central government college by passing the National Eligibility Test. However you would have to score at least 55 percent marks in post graduation.

LLB is another good option for you. To get admission for LLB course, the candidate is required to have score 45 percent marks in graduation. This makes you eligible to apply for 3 years LLB course. Once completed the course you can apply for government job or work in private law firm. There's also an option to work as legal advisor for a company.

If you have any interest in computers then Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a good choice for you. However considering the fact that you scored only 48 percent marks in B.Sc, I would say skip this one because it would be difficult to get admission for MCA. Even if you did get admission and completed the course, you would not be able to work for any MNC.

Another good option for you is Master in Business Administration or MBA. You can apply for MBA is Finance after which there would be jobs for you in Banking, stock broking etc. To do MBA you would have to appear for Management Aptitude Test (MAT). You only require graduation degree to appear for MAT. Unfortunately you can not appear for more popular exam known as Common Admission Test. The percentage requirement to appear for CAT is 50 percent (General) and 45 percent (SC/ST).

You have got very less percentage in your B.Sc course and this will affect you to get the higher education as well as in the placement. So now only I will suggest you to do the M.Sc course so that in master degree you can increase your marks and can get the good placement.
